it was all good just a week ago.Once upon a time, JAY-Z and Kanye West were seemingly inseparable. They referred to each other as brothers, worked with each other on their respective albums for years, and even created one of the last great New York moments with Watch The Throne.Things really haven’t been the same since, however. In 2016 Kanye went on a rant during a stop on his Saint Pablo Tour, going off for 15 minutes criticizing radio, Kid Cudi, Q-Tip, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, Jay and Beyoncé.Jay responded to that on his 4:44 track “Kill JAY-Z:”But you got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye / You gave him 20 million without blinkin’ / He gave you 20 minutes on stage, f**k was he thinkin’?”Kanye responded by wanting to end his agreement with Jay’s streaming service TIDAL, citing a money dispute and potential lawsuit from TIDAL as the reasons. With both parties failing to come to an agreement, TIDAL and ‘Ye have officially parted ways. As a result, Kanye’s entire discography is no longer exclusive with TIDAL, and future releases will arrive on other streaming music platforms simultaneously instead of solely with TIDAL.Grand opening, grand closing.
